Founded by HGTV host and renovation ninja, Ati Williams, Honeycomb is one of the most respected design and construction firms in San Diego and Washington DC.

What makes us different?

  • We are planners

We take the time in the planning of your design and renovation. We prefer to spend the time in the front-end carefully planning your project to reduce surprises and delays.

  • WE are trilingual

Contractors, designers and architects speak different languages. Unfortunately that can lead to lots of communication issues. We can talk to all the parties in a way that they can understand, and make the process seamless and collaborative.

  • we do not overpromise

We hate change-orders and time-extensions as much as you do. This is why it is important to plan your renovation. There will always be surprises in construction, and sometimes you might change your mind about a previous decision, but our goal is to mitigate that the best way possible. We are certainly not the cheapest, but at least you can have a good sense of what you will be spending.

  • we do overcommunicate

We want you to know what is happening with your renovation. We are big believers in ‘non-updates’ to let you know where we are on your project.

  • We believe in the Golden Rule

Treat others as you would like to be treated. We have a no-assholes policy. This extends to our tradespeople and collaborators.

YeS, I did have an hgtv show!

Now that we got that out of the way…..

Ati Williams identifies as a renovation ninja and design creative.

Ati became interested in renovation and real estate when she purchased her first home. After making minor renovations, she resold her home. Since then, she was hooked. She has since worked on dozens of renovations from cosmetic builds to complete gut rehabs.

What Ati loves most about renovations is the ability to breathe a new life into a home's old soul through tasteful and custom updates. She loves spreadsheets and design. Renovating homes satisfies both her creative, and process-driven sides.

Ati has also been featured in the New York Times, MSNBC and CNN, Good Morning Washington. She hosted her own HGTV show- DC Flippers.
